Offered: one pair of pre-owned , SiDi Genius 7 Carbon Shadow road shoes, size 42.5 medium (D) width, Mens US 8.5 medium ( not Mega-wide, not Slim). Most people say they fit closer to a 8.5 medium . Cleat mount is 3-bolt, for LOOK, Time, Shimano SL pedal cleats), in Microfibre Black with mesh, and gray accents. Perfect for year long riding. Please double make sure this size is for you. Great upper buckles and a nice stiff Carbon sole! Made in Italy, ( not Romania, like most mid-lower tier Sidi shoes) Cleat bolt pattern on bottom is a 3-bolt Full carbon 4 lite sole Replaceable bottom heel pads, top buckle/strap and instep Fixed Heel Cup (holds your foot in place, great for pedal stroke from 6 0'clock to 12 o'clock up-stroke, and for walking) Upper replaceable buckle and two bottom security velcro enclosures. **If you need adapter plates to go from 3-bolt to 4-bolt (if you want to run Speedplay or older Time pedals), please message me at time of paying and I'll include one pair with hardware. Condition: cosmetically shoes are around Very-good+ condition, and functionally they're excellent. Right shoe outer side has a top layer Microfibre scrap, and outer edge of carbon sole scrap (see picture # 6). Toe-tips on both shoes have very light- small scuffs /scratches (hard to see, as it's a black area), near bottom edge of sole area. No thru cuts/rips /gashes in the uppers, shoes fully functional, cleat bolt threads have been regresses and good to go. Shoes come with Sidi Performance insoles. Please see pictures. ________________________ Condition rating scale: * New: never used * Like new: used on 1-2 rides, cos metically and functi onally perfectly fine , close to new but not quite. * Excelle nt: used, no major condition marks (i.e. no cuts in the fabric ) and fully functional (no missing parts), possibly 1-2 minor condition marks, not quite like new. * Very Good : used, a few minor cosmetic con dition marks (i.e. scrapes/scratches on bottom of sole, toe and side of shoe are h as minor r ubs/ s cuffing), however condition marks do not affect func tionality of the shoes to be tools for your feet, fully functional otherwise. Tons of life left in them, but no t perfect cosm eticall y * Good : used, a step down from a very-good con dition shoe, in that there may be one major condition mark, and several cosmetic condition marks (i.e. worn sole from walking/general riding , scrapes/ scuffing of the outer shoe material , cosmetic small details that are imperfections caused b y usage and/or came from t he shoe factory that way, etc), however shoes are fully functional in every w ay.
Lots of life left in the shoes, but not perfect cosmetically. * Fair: well used and they show it cosmetically, higher usage of wear to the soles, possibly one rip of the fabric on the interior and/or exterior. S everal cosmetic condition marks. Otherwise, shoes are still functional to be used. * Poor: : very well used, several condition marks (mainly at least one tear/rip in t he outer and inner fab ric of the shoe), and possibl y not functional to some degree (a buckl e and/or strap missing, heal pad missing, etc). S hoes need to be overhauled with 1+ new/used parts to make them functio nal a gain. ************************************************************ * Side note: white plastics on shoes tend to exhibit wear (mainly cosmetic condition wear) at a higher rate then other colors. Depending upon the shoe, if there is white plastics used it will eventually slightly yellow (and possibly get darker in yellow color), no matter if you ride in the rain, or if it is a fair weather riding shoe (the sun does chemically change the composition / pigment of the plastics (certain grade of plastic this will affect, but not all plastics), and accelerates the color pigment of white/clear plastic by turning it yellow. This goes for all manufactures, Sidi, Shimano, Specialized, Diadora, etc. Please be aware of that before bidding, and for future long term care of your shoes. **Side info:
Well taken care of cycling shoes can/ do last 5+ years (in some cases, road shoes 10+ years), unlike street shoes. Take care of your shoes, and your shoes will take care of your feet. A properly fit cycling shoe is the #1 best performance move that you can make on your body for three main reasons : 1. The right shoe will help lesson the effects of the foot/pedal contact pressure point on the bike while riding. The proper sized/fit shoe will increase your comfort factor while riding. 2. Given the above #1 , your foot heath will increase = your health is your wealth. 3. In regards to energy transmission while pedaling, the right shoe will increase ones wattage /power transmission to the pedals, thus your energy efficiency on the bike will increase. Find the right shoe / pedal combination, and you'll majorly step up your game on the bicycle. Sizing information: See last picture for Sidi shoe size chart.
